I arrived in Costa Rica in 1992 and began eating almost immediately.

Since 1995, I have been the author of Frommer’s Costa Rica, and subsequently Costa Rica for Dummies and Costa Rica Day By Day. All of this has had me travelling around the country nearly constantly, and eating all along the way.

As a native New Yorker, the critic in me comes naturally.
